    Mr. Haines has acquired a wide range of international experience in the oil and gas industry over the last thirty years. Prior to becoming involved with Buried Hill Energy in 2002, Mr. Haines was President of Gulfstream Resources. From 1987 to 1992 Mr. Haines was Vice President of Engineering with Canadian Occidental Petroleum with additional responsibility for New Ventures and Development Geology. Prior to Canadian Occidental Petroleum, Mr. Haines spent five years in Australia working as a special consultant with SANTOS responsible for all drilling projects. Earlier in his career Mr. Haines held operational and engineering positions with various firms in Australia, South America and Canada.

    Peter Kallos

    Before joining Buried Hill Energy in April 2010, Peter Kallos was Executive Vice President of Petro-Canada’s International and Offshore business. He was responsible for leading and growing Petro-Canada’s international portfolio and Eastern Canadian offshore business from 2003-2010. Previously Peter held numerous senior positions in the oil and gas sector including External Affairs Director of Shell Exploration and Production U.K. He spent 14 years at Enterprise Oil where his roles included member of Executive Committee as head of the Company’s U.K. North Sea business, Chief Executive of the Company’s Italian subsidiary, Business Development Manager responsible for acquisitions and disposals, and as a petroleum engineer. Peter began his career in 1982 as a Production Engineer with Marathon Oil and Carless Exploration.

    Mr. Bracken is a Chartered Accountant with over fifteen years experience in the oil and gas industry. His focus has been on strategic planning, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, project evaluation, risk management, financial reporting, and taxation. Brent is a founder and the current Vice President Finance, and CFO of Caltex Energy Inc. Previously Brent was Vice President Finance, and CFO of Krang Energy Inc.; a member of the Corporate Development department of Alberta Energy Company Ltd.; Vice President Finance of Gulfstream Holdings; Manager Financial Reporting and Treasury at Stampeder Exploration; and Manager Oil and Gas at Deloitte & Touche.

    Mr. Hocher is an oil and gas executive with considerable international experience. In addition to pursuing merchant banking opportunities, Mr. Hocher is a partner in the Business Law Department and a member of the Corporate and Energy and Natural Resources practice groups of Osler Hoskin & Harcourt. His focus includes public and private energy-related production, transportation and marketing companies, foreign governments, and electric power producers. Prior to joining Osler Hoskin & Harcourt, Mr. Hocher was a partner in the Oil and Gas Department at the Bennett Jones law firm. At the age of 33, Joe was named by the National Post and Lexpert magazine as one of the top 40 lawyers in Canada under the age of 40 and has been recognised by the Lexpert Directory as a leading practitioner in energy.

    Mr. Phipps is an oil and gas executive and professional Geophysicist/Geologist with over thirty years of industry experience. His international experience includes work in the Beaufort Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, Yemen, North Africa, Nigeria, Colombia, Australia, Malaysia and Kazakhstan. During 2005 Graeme was employed as Executive Vice President of PetroKazakhstan. He has been a director of various companies, senior executive of Ausam Energy of Australia, and was the Principal of Phipps and Associates, an oil and gas consulting firm. Graeme was Exploration and International Vice President for Petro-Canada; and Vice President Corporate Planning and Vice President Canadian Division for Nexen. Graeme started his career and spent 20 years with Esso Resources and Exxon. Graeme is a director of Primeline Energy Holdings, Tundra Oil and Gas Ltd, and StockReality, a private international investment fund.

    Polakis Sarris3

    Mr. Sarris is the founder of the law firm Polakis Sarris & Co. In 2003 he was appointed Presidential Commissioner by the President of the Republic of Cyprus. He served in that capacity until 2006 before returning to his law firm. Polakis is the author of many books, studies and articles on the subjects of Cyprus-based offshore companies, shipping companies, trusts, and vessels under the flag of Cyprus. He speaks at international seminars on behalf of the Central Bank of Cyprus and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In 1982, Mr. Sarris became the Honorary Consul General of Panama in Cyprus. He is a member of I.B.A., I.F.A., A.M.A., I.T.P.A., A.I.J.A., I.O.D., I.C.C., and other international organizations.
